Things that are making me Happy

Happy New Year!
     To get the year off to a great start I'd like to begin the year with gratitude for things that make me happy. Sometimes it's hard to shake off old habits and attitudes and look at things with fresh eyes and an open heart. I'm resolving to make sure I begin the month with positivity.

1. The new Audible App for the iPhone and iPad. I love Audiobooks because I can catch up on new books while I'm doing other things. I"m "reading" Eragon by Christopher Paolini right now and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is in my queue for next month.
2. The YALSA  (Young Adult Library Services Association ) Teen Book Finder App for the iPhone and iPad. 
3. All the colored paper I can use for my displays
4. A new year of Book Club!
5. Teryaki Ramen Noodles. Delicious and Cheap!

Poetry Out Loud

South Atlanta will be sending ONE fantastically dynamic student to the citywide Poetry Out Loud competition. This is a recitation contest so you won't be writing poetry, just reciting it. Ask your teacher when classroom competition begins. You can click here to find a poem you like.
