Your Daily Theme for 3/12/2013

Silence

When conversation runs dry, people turn to habits to fill the silence. Talking about the weather is a humorous, aware way to fill the silence. How do you handle silence? Do you check your phone? Do you laugh to yourself and recall a joke you heard? Do you smile? Frown? Bring up a piece of "did you hear" news? Avoid eye contact? Touch your hair?

Write a short scene that begins just after conversation runs dry and ends right when the conversation begins again.
